Want a cookie little girl?
Wake up Americans we are being seduced!

Now we find out that along with illegal wire taping (more than they originally admitted to) our government is into nighttime surveillance by helicopters on American soil no less but, wait! A helicopter comes across a couple having sex on a roof top and the helicopter hovers over the area filming the event. "Big Brother" watching or a threat to national security?

We found out that government agents are spying on people worshiping at churches, and the government is inserting cookie viruses into our computers to view the sights we are using. Threats to National security?
How much more does "Your government" have to do before we speak out? Do we have to wait for a knock on the door in the middle of the night because a neighbor told a government official that you were speaking out against what the government is doing?

A poem from Martin Niemoller.

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out,
because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out,
because I was not a socialists;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out,
because I was not a unionists;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out,
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak out for me.

We tend to lean back and bitch and say I don't care. As long as I'm not affected by it. Are you sure you aren't affected by all of this? You don't know any one who has been affected by "Your" governments actions?

I don't think so but, that's what I see.

Bits and Pieces

Has anyone ever seen Alfred E Newman and G.W. together?
Great words coming from politicians lately. When asked how many civilians killed G.W. answers "about 30,000 or so". About 30,000! Those are people you're talking about. When asked about the voting in Iraq a statement was made that "The city is in lockdown" What does that mean? Only citizens that G.W. wants to vote are allowed out?
Another statement made was that "The people of Iraq put themselves at great risk when they vote. Well so do Americans. Our votes may or may not count. After all what makes Americans think an election in Iraq can't be fixed.
Hell we have six years experience and working on six more here in the good old U.S.A.

The media reported that ten million people voted. Are we to believe that? If it's true how many of those votes count? I saw children giving the black finger to the media. Wonder what that means (Tounge in cheek). When asked about withdrawal the White House response was "The next couple of years". YEARS!

When Elizabeth Vargas was interviewing soldiers recently she found that all the troops that she spoke to said that they were happy and things were going well. I was in the military and the saying then was a bitching soldier was a happy soldier. I didn't see any happy soldiers.

The arrogance of G.W. is beyond words. I can do what ever I want because I am President. Someone should explains that President is not spelled D i c t a t o r.
Mr President I would like to hear your cabinet members phone calls, would you set up a wire tap for me? Or are they there already? Hmmm!
Makes you wonder doesn't it? How many are set up?
To end this tirade I have a question.

Why is it that in the Charlie Brown specials only Snoopy has teeth yet, all of the characters have perfect speach, and Snoopy snickers?

Supreme Court

A while ago I had the opportunity to listen to a tape of the Supreme Court in session ( A first time ever made public release.) From the conversations going on I came to the conclusion that the Justices had no clue as to the issue before them. They were off on their own adgenda, irregardless of that particular issue before the Court. They enjoyed the sound of their own voices. Speaking about other issues each having different stories. Not related to the issue before them.

The Supreme court should not be a lifetime appointment. When the law setting up the Supreme Court was enacted Americans were un-educated and had no idea that a lifetime could be 70+ years. At that time an elder citizen might reach 32- 35 years old. When I was 35 years old I knew it all, didn't want to hear what you had to say. I was right. Looking back. "Had no clue". Time and education helped me change my mind on many issues. I was for the Viet Nam war until I saw the light (not really, no light) my better half convinced me that I was wrong. My stand on abortion was firmly in place but as more and more facts came out my view changed.

At various points in life a person changes. We become more worldly, more open minded we listen to what other people say. It's called input.
Rulings made in past cases show us that this not the case with some Justices already on the court. Their stand on issues, carved in stone. Several important issues will be coming to the court and new appointees must have an open mind. When years and years of rulings or recommendations show a person staying the course, something is wrong.

Forget about Saddam. He can't hurt us. The next appointed Justice can. Saddam can't hurt our social security programs: Saddam can't hurt our abortion issues: Saddam can't hurt our separation of church and state issues: Saddam can't enforce more and more Patriot Acts. Freedoms have already been taken away from us. But a bad Supreme Court Justice can cause major damage to our country and its citizens. Little by little if a bad Justice is appointed more and more of these things will be whittled away from Americans.

The media must look into rulings and recommendations made by the newest nominee and publish or broadcast their findings. An old acquaintance once said. What's the worst thing that can happen to you. They can't cut you up and eat you. King George isn't going to cut you up and eat you "Media people".
But you might be fired or asked to resign!

Who's Counting?
Two thousand plus killed in Iraq. Eighty killed in November. Killed in Iraq! How many of the wounded sent to hospitals in Germany: England: France: The United States and elsewhere have died from wounds suffered in Iraq? Who's counting? Someone should be but they are not telling the American People and we know that they wouldn't lie to us, right! The media must and should be asking for these figures but then again. Who's Counting?

How many Service personnel are there who will have permanent mental and physical disabilities? The media should be asking. Who's Counting? The President and his staff told us stories like the rescue of Jessica. A heavily armed team breaking into a hospital for the rescue. In reality, an Iraq doctor realizes the hospital he works in has a wounded soldier. He notifies the American Embassy then leads them to her. The hospital releases her to the military. There we no enemy troops holding her hostage. Where is she now and what is her story Where is the media now. Another story not covered. Who's Counting.

The Tillman story. Killed in action engaging the enemy. The poor parents, so used by the Military, The NFL using The fallen serviceman. American people believing "a story". Then the truth comes out. Killed by "Friendly Fire" there is no such thing as friendly fire. I have never seen anyone being friendly while firing at some one else. Have you? Where was the apology that should have come from these lies? Like so many other things. Who's Counting?

The media should be covering stories on wounded personnel being rehabilitated. The physical therapy the maimed must be taught. The cries of pain, the tears of being afraid of the future. How to use artificial limbs to walk or hold on to a loved one. To speak again and be able to say I love you to a dear one. Knowing now that you must use someone else's eyes to see the world that is now dark for you.. Showing flag draped coffins that represents a person. That person had family but I guess nobody cares. Who's Counting?. Brave young men and women who believed that they were right, who believed the lies who are great Americans.

Not supporting the war is not saying that we don't support our troops, we do. We just want our government to tell us the truth. The media should be asking for the truth and reporting it. How many times must we ask. Who's Counting?

Only twenty three suicide attacks in Iraq in November. Only twenty three. How many car bombings did we have before Re-patriarchs? Who's Counting? The media should be.

Fox network reported that we are winning the war. Two Thousand plus KILLED FOR OIL and spite. I'm better than you Daddy! Winning the war? I think it's called sacrificing innocent people, ours and theirs. We have become occupiers, not Liberators. That's what I see FROM MY SIDE OF THE ROOM. Charlie
